Prompt

A 3D animated character in the style of a modern animated feature film. A young inventor with a large head, oversized expressive eyes and freckles, wearing a knitted jumper with visible fibre detail and a canvas satchel. Skin rendered with subsurface scattering so the ears glow slightly, soft cinematic key light from the upper left with a warm rim light behind, shallow depth of field, clean uncluttered background. Appealing, warm and slightly idealised.

Tips

1Subsurface scattering is the term that makes skin stop looking like plastic.
2Fibre detail on knitwear does more for believability than any face detail.
3A rim light behind the head is what separates this from a game character render.
