A description in plain sentences. This is the version to start with, and it works on any current image model. Settings below are the ones we used on GPT Image; treat them as a starting point.

Make it yours

The recipe is the style, not the picture. Put your own subject in and the highlighted part of the prompt changes.

Prompt

A frame from a 1987 television cartoon: an original invented character, a lanky orange fox in dungarees, painted as a hand inked cel with bold black outlines and flat saturated colour, single hard shadow shapes, placed over a far more detailed painted background of a canyon at sunset. Limited animation posing, 4:3 frame, slight broadcast softness and a faint tape colour bleed on the reds. The character must be invented for this image: no recognisable, existing or trademarked cartoon character, no mouse, no famous mascot.
