Product Design Sketch, A concept sketch with marker colour, callouts and handwriting all over it — Trainer concept with notes·Nano Banana Pro

Recipe

The style is the recipe. The subject is yours.

The examples above were generated with Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 4.5. The recipes below are written for GPT Image and Flux, so treat the settings as a starting point rather than the exact run.

A description in plain sentences. This is the version to start with, and it works on any current image model. Settings below are the ones we used on GPT Image; treat them as a starting point.

Make it yours

This recipe describes a treatment rather than a thing. Put your own subject in and it is added to the end of the prompt.

Prompt

A designer's concept sketch page for a trainer, drawn in confident black pen with broad marker colour in yellow, blue and orange that overshoots the outlines. Handwritten annotations, arrows pointing at details, small alternative sole studies sketched in the margins, a couple of crossed out attempts. Off white sketchbook paper, marker bleed visible, no digital neatness anywhere. Subject: a trainer.

The prompt gets you close. Feed one of the examples in as a style reference for the rest. Download the images

Tips

1Marker that overshoots the line is the detail that makes it read as a real sketch.
2Ask for crossed out attempts. Perfection breaks the illusion of process.
3Handwriting will be illegible. That is fine, it is texture.
