Prompt

A hand carved linocut print of a running wolf. Solid black ink on cream paper, shapes built from bold carved masses with visible gouge marks inside them, lines that swell and taper from the blade, parallel cuts standing in for shading. Uneven ink coverage with a few skipped patches, the faint square edge of the block printing at the border, slightly absorbent paper. No grey tones anywhere, black or paper only.

Tips

1No grey tones, black or paper only. Every failure of this style is a grey wash.
2Gouge marks inside the black areas prove a blade was involved.
3The block edge printing at the border is a small, very convincing detail.
