Prompt

A 1994 school yearbook portrait. A teenager with a centre parting and a striped polo shirt, turned three quarters toward the camera with the chin slightly up, photographed against a mottled blue painted studio backdrop. Hard studio flash from the front with a soft fill, slight vignette at the corners, warm colour shift from age, fine photographic grain, the print very slightly out of focus at the edges. Neutral pleasant expression.

Tips

1The mottled painted backdrop is the single most recognisable element. Name it first.
2Three quarter turn with the chin up is the pose every school photographer used.
3Warm colour shift and grain do the aging. Avoid asking for a filter.
